Porcupine Tree concert

Last wednesday I visited a concert of one of my most favourite bands - Porcupine Tree. For those (most of you:)), who don't know them: it is an english rock band with roots in art rock and psychedelic music, but also influenced by britpop groups like Coldplay. Their music has a very special spirit and mood and though they have changed a lot during the 15 years of their existence, any of their song is easily recognisable for this specific sound.
The concert took place in Vienna in the club Planet music. I have to say that my expectations were not met, but still it was a great experience. The reason of my little disappoitment was that the concert did not have such melancholic emotional atmosphere and it was rather built on harder songs... but seen as a simply rock concert it was absolutely great! and in the end it gave me another perspective of Porcupine Tree music.
Steve Wilson is a very charismatic personality and he has produced a lot of wonderful music, either with Porcupine Tree or through his side projects. I just wish that more people would know such music... It is very sad to hear, what kind of music rules the charts...
