Beauty in statistics

I am not an expert in statistics, but I am generally known as someone who really enjoys that science. I also occasionally try to convince people how nice and important statistics are, which most of my friend do not acknowledge. I found this really cool video at www.ted.com (if you don't know the page yet, I highly recommend to check it, there are lots of inspiring speeches), and English statistician talks in a very interesting way about probability statistics, their possible impact and why is it dangerous to underestimate them. He also raises 2 queries which show, how tricky it can be to do simple assumptions.
Personally I love the speech, I hope you will enjoy it as well (it takes cca 20 minutes). Don't worry, despite being about statistics the speech is quite amusing:)
